NAME
Bryan Spencer

NICKNAMES
There's so many, but these are the best- Godfather, Daddy Love, and my favorite: Boytoy. Doug gave me the last one.

WHAT
I'm a 21 year old college student at Washington University. I'm studying finance and economics- two of the most dry, boring subjects available. The good news is, I'll get a job when I graduate; the bad news is, I won't like it. Those subjects are NOT outlets for creativity. I'm in a fraternity, which seems to be both fuel for controversy and a quality that many gay men find intriguing.

WHERE
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and lived there until I came to college in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA in the Fall of 1995. I live here now in my new studio apartment in the 'fashionable & gay' Central West End. I'm now just a block from several of my best friends and my favorite place to hang out- the Coffee Cartel. I plan to move somewhere a bit more fun when I graduate- Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, Seattle, Vancouver.

WHO
My friends are my most valued and important asset. They have helped make me who I am. These are the ones that have played the greatest role in my development:
  • Doug- The first person I ever fell in love with. I could say so much more, but I believe that's enough.
  • Ashleigh- One of my best friends, and the first person I came out too, and without whom I might still be in the closet and miserable.
  • Neil- My 'other' best friend, and Ashleigh's boyfriend for several months. He rounded out our trio, which bore an uncanny resemblance to the characters in the movie 'Threesome'.
  • Bob- An outrageous and outgoing guy who I am quickly discovering I can talk to about anything. His forwardness is both startling and refreshing, and he is a very knowledgable and experienced gay man.
  • Dallas- A great friend that I met over the Internet, whose situation was uncannily similar to mine. He's bisexual, but he seems to be leaning more towards men lately. He also writes for the gay youth webzine Oasis Youth.
  • Steve- A cute bisexual and one of my fraternity brothers. We weren't very good friends initially, but our friendship grew over time as we discovered we actually had things in common.
  • Dave- The older brother of one of my college roommates, and ironically, a friend of Bob's. He's perhaps the most free spirited and open-minded person I'll ever meet. He's straight, although Bob is convinced otherwise.
  • Mike & Christa- The star couple from Wisconsin. Two of the most beautiful people I've ever met- their children will be supermodels. Christa is the sweetest person I've ever met and Michael is...perfect.
